Horrible Dishwasher Horrible Service from LG

I bought this dishwasher less than 3 months ago. Once it was delivered it was not usable because two pieces were missing. Then after the piece was installed and the dishwasher could finally be used for a week or two it started throwing an error message. After waiting for another service appointment the technician came out and had to reinstall the part. After another week or two the same error message. LG had to order the part again so another 10 days without the dishwasher. Were on about a week of it working and just waiting for it to throw an error code again and stop working. The experience with LG has been horrible during this. They no showed for one of the confirmed appointments confirmed in writing and when we called in to see what was going on they put us on hold for over 90 minutes until their call center closed. RUN from this dishwasher and from LG in general.

I had a problem where floor tile had been laid after our original dishwasher had been installed with granite countertops making space very difficult. All the salespeople where I was shopping have LG products in their own homes. So I thought they might be good. I found an LG ADA dishwasher which has a lower height which would fit perfectly so bought that. Install was easy and the performance after install has been terrific. Even a badly baked on mess from a beef roast in a glass pan came perfectly clean without any extra work. Very impressed and pleased with the performance so far. And it looks great also.

Useable by a visually impaired user with some modifications. I was hoping the dishwasher could be controlled more from the phone. As a visually impaired user this would have made things easier. However placing bump dots purchased from Amazon just above the buttons made the dishwasher quite useable. Although this model will show the user using the LG Thinq app what settings were chosen one cannot control nor start the dishwasher from the phone as is probably possible with higher priced models. I was disappointed in this but am able to use the dishwasher. The Thinq app is very accessible with voiceover.

Was turned on to LG with fact that three of the salespeople have them in their own homes. Also since had a problem on install with tile floor put in after old dishwasher was installed and granite countertops on top had severe height issues. Got the old finally out and found that LG has an ADA dishwasher that is slightly shorter and fit perfectly. Now installed and can only comment on how it performs - wonderfully Wife cooked a roast and the pan was terrible but it came out of the dishwasher wonderfully clean with NO scrubbing. And all the glasses now sparkle as well. Very pleased with everything. Highly recommend.

Not what I hoped for as a visually impaired user.

Good but a bit disappointed in missing features. I purchased an LG dishwasher because of the Wi-Fi capability. As a blind user I had hoped to be able to control the dishwasher with my iPhone. I can only check what my settings are. The unit does its job but is noisier than I would like. I wanted the larger model with more options but was mistakenly told that that larger unit wouldnt fit. When the installer installed the unit he told he the larger unit would have fit just fine. I had received incorrect information from the company who came to take measurements to see if I could use the larger model. The LGThinQ app is totally accessible by a blind user but doesnt allow for one to select the cycles from the phone. I dont know whether a different model would have allowed for this. I also found that one could change the music on some LG appliances but not on my model. Having this would have been a neat feature. Placing bump dots on the front of the unit just above the lights at least allows me to find and select the desired cycle. Had I not been given incorrect information as to whether the 34 inch models would have worked just fine I would have bought one with more features hoping that I could have controlled it with my Iphone. I will say that if a blind user places bump dots on the front of the dishwasher just above the lights the unit is totally accessible. And the accessibility of the ThinQ app makes it easy to make sure that one has selected the desired settings. Every feature of the ThinQ app is completely accessible for a voiceover user. If there is no unit that a blind user can completely control from an iPhone I would whole-heartedly recommend this dishwasher for a visually impaired user. It would be great if LG could have placed tactile dots above each light for easy cycle identification so that bump dots wouldnt have been necessary. Id also like to see a firmware update allowing us to change the music as with the higher priced models. Also would it be possible through firmware to allow this model to be controlled with an iPhone?

without warning front panel started flashing. Called LG - told me to cut the power for 24 hours and then turn back on. Flashing stopped. But now it does not work at all. Bought 15 months ago. understand that the replacement panels and control board would cost nearly the same as a new machine - $540 - not including service labor. Not a good buy. Service person said LGs did not make reliable dishwashers. I believe him

I purchased this dishwasher in May 2022 and after 6/months the circulation pump malfunction resulting in a loud grinding noise. I live in Bermuda so when consulting LG representative was simply told to flush out the dishwasher. Obviously this didnt work. After seeing the same issue experienced by other owners on You Tube I purchased a new pump from Amazon and repaired myself.

I would love to give a review on this dishwasher I ordered on September 22nd 2023 but here we are on November 15th 2023 and its still not delivered. I called multiple times customer service and every time I got a different story and nobody has been able to fix the situation at customer service. Im very unhappy with LG delivery service. This is unacceptable for a company this caliber to have such a dysfunctional and non efficient delivery service. I do not recommend.

slight miss on rack design

I love the sleek style but the rack design is not ideal. The upper rack prongs are on an angle allowing loading of only small side dish bowls and small plates you can only place a couple cereal bowls because the racks tilt the bowls too far - wastes a lot of space. Also the square silverware carrier uses a lot of space and blocks usage a long rectangle positioned on the side or in the door would have been much more effective.
