A new Whirlpool refrigerator was delivered on 12/30/2017. Freezer hasn't been working from day one. Icicles form inside and on the door. Food is covered in frost and those in back are encased in a block of ice. Service has come out numerous times, but the problem persists. On different occasions, he worked on the gasket, changed the fan, and finally changed the door. Nothing has helped. He also came out to look at the freezer several more times and couldn't do anything. Factory Rep (Techline) told the serviceman that nothing is wrong with the unit and that the refrigerator would work if my house is air-conditioned. In Hawaii, not many homes are air-conditioned, but other refrigerators work well. I don't live in a grass shack. The refrigerator is in my kitchen, not my garage. The Whirlpool guide says that the refrigerator is "intended for use in temperatures ranging from 55-110 degrees." The temperature in my home typically ranges from 65-85 degrees, depending on the season. This past month it was 65 degrees! I'm told that Whirlpool won't replace this refrigerator because Techline said there is nothing wrong with this unit. Those words also ended my warranty. Yesterday, water was dripping from the ceiling and door of the freezer yesterday. Last night, I realized that the food in front was thawing (the food in the back half is ok because it's sealed in ice) and the refrigerator section has also stopped cooling. Called service today and they referred me to Whirlpool Service because they've done everything they can. But Techline drove the final nail in my coffin. Whirlpool Service told me they couldn't help me also because of the Techline decision. If this Techline is making these decisions for them, I will stay away from ALL Whirlpool products from now on. So today I'm shopping for a new refrigerator because I need a refrigerator IMMEDIATELY. You can be sure it won't be a Whirlpool!!

Good Refrigerator

This is a very good refrigerator for the price. We have had side-by-side and bottom freezer refrigerator models and we prefer the freezer on top. It is the most efficient for space if you don't need water and ice in the door. The two things we do not like is the bottom door shelf piece fall off because it doesn't fit well. Also the shelves seem to flex a lot. We limit the amount we put on the shelves because they look like they will break. We got an ice maker for our refrigerator and it was easy to install.

This is a no frills fridge but has great space inside. I would have loved it to offer a water dispenser inside the door, that should be standard. The ice maker makes great ice, but is VERY loud. The shelves are setup pretty good, but the bottom one on the inside of the door is so low it is really not functional. I am not a fan of the 1 control for both the freezer and fridge with only 3 settings.

I bought the refrig. about 6 weeks ago. Had ice build-up in the freezer compartment. The gasket around the freezer door was warped and did make a proper seal. Repairman heated the gasket with a hair dryer and there seems to be a good seal now. There still is frost building up in the freezer compartment. To make a long story short we have not been able to use the appliance properly since it has arrived. We are hesitant to put frozen foods in the freezer. We are constantly checking the freezer for ice build-up. We would like to have this appliance replaced with another one. The refrig. itself is nice and roomy, and would be fine if not for the freezer problem.

Terrible Refrigerator

Bought it back in February 2018. It's ok for short people. I'm 5'10 and my wife is 5'7 and we really need to bend down to see what is on the shelves. The shelves are way too deep and stuff literally gets lost in the back and is hard to get to. Refrig lighting is not directed toward the lower or back shelves and we need a flashlight to see back there. Freezer lighting is bright, but shelf has a space across the bottom and food falls through. Would not buy again -- originally bought as it was only one that would fit in the space.

We just received this fridge as a replacement to one of the Whirlpool Side by Sides. We didn't care for the side by side as it was way too loud. This one was delivered and installed yesterday, and what we have found so far is that we cannot leave the refrigerator control at the Recommended level 3. If we do, temps in the door are over 47 degrees F. I had to drop it between 4 and 5 (closer to 5) just to get it to 38 degrees F, even after an entire day. At this point we will just wait and see how it goes. Can someone from Whirlpool comment, please?

Dissapointed with peg in door for changing handle

This was just about the only refrigerator that fit in our space so my options were pretty limited to start. I chose this one because it held the most in cubic foot and had other options I liked. I was very excited to get it. It was set up then the I saw the glaring dimple in the front of the frig where they changed the handle! Every photo of this refrigerator has this hole photo shopped out. I know my world will go on but the look of the frig is ruined for me. I was excited for a clean new smooth look, now it looks like there was a defect in the door. Please, be honest about your product, show the plug in the front door of the refrigerator. I'm really quite disappointed right now. Let's hope the frig itself doesn't let me down.

I am very disappointed with this refrigerator. I cannot even fit a 2 litre soda bottle in it. The deli drawers is very small. The shelves on the freezer door are useless. The bottom of the shelf does not come out as far as it should resulting in items falling through. Very very disappointed.

Easy to see everything!

I needed a new refrigerator as my old one was melting my ice cream! Cannot have that. This model fit inside my existing space quite nicely. I am very pleased with the internal layout. The lighting is "daylight" so everything is well illuminated and with the clear shelving it is very easy to locate all my foods. I find the capacity exceeds my older model, and appears to be slightly less in width. Win!

The first was deli vered and on the following day I opened up the refrigerator door and water poured all over my kitchen floor and covered all of the food and shelves in the refrigerator..I called RC Willy and the next day a second refrigeratorwas delievered. I had to now remove all olf the foodstolred in the cold chests and put everythin into the refrigerator. The ice maker pack was missing--thestore didn.;t include it was thedelivery so I hadto wait utnilthe next day for it to be installed--Also RC Willey sent the wrong colo rbut I kept the second unit --couldn't take any more of this or the time spent...The refrigerator itself works perfectly fine. It is quiet and spacious..Won't shop again atRCWilley but will consider another Whirlpool appliance

20.5 cu ft fridge

We needed a new refrigerator and the offerings in the bisque color were limited. We are still trying to get the temperature regulated so the ice doesn't melt together and at the same time keep the vegetables in the fridge from freezing. Unlike previous refrigerators we have owned, the doors on this one do not close completely without a "push". The doors almost seem to be too light.

I have had this fridge for two months and already have had warranty work done on it . The fridge section is not cooling enough, just lucky it is a drinks fridge. I am disappointed in the product wished it cooled better.

Just the right size

We have a manufactor home with limited spacing for a refrigerator. This Whirlpool fits the space perfectly. Wish it had adjustable shelving, but the set in shelves do the job. Wish the ice maker came with. We had to order it separately. It's been over a month and the ice maker is still on back order!
